MATERIALS
Yarn: Worsted—Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in White

  • 100% Mercerized Cotton
  • 186 yds (170 m) per 3.5 oz (100 g) skein
  • Find this yarn on lionbrand.com or visit yarnsub.com to find comparable substitutes.

Yardage: 6 skeins or 950 yds (869 m)
If substituting 24/7 Cotton, choose any similar, category #4 worsted weight cotton yarn that matches gauge. Always swatch before beginning to ensure you are happy with the resulting fabric.

Hook: Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, locking stitch marker to mark the center stitch

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Finished wrap measures approximately 36” (91 cm) in depth (A) with a 92” (234 cm) wingspan (B).

GAUGE INFORMATION
After completing the first 6 rows, work should measure 3” (8 cm) from beginning ring to center marked stitch and approximately 6” (15 cm) wide, measured along the longest edge.

In a wrap pattern like this, gauge is less important. However, you will want your gauge to be close to this to achieve a drape as shown in the photos. If your work measures smaller than 3” (8 cm) in depth and 6” (15 cm) in width after completing the first 6 rows, go up a hook size to avoid a dense, stiff fabric.

PATTERN NOTES
Skill Level: Beginner
Turning Chain: The turning chain does not count as a stitch for the hdc sections, but it does count as a stitch for the mesh edc sections.
Stitch Counts: Stitch counts are listed after each row. Each hdc row increases the total row count by 4 sts, and each mesh row increases the total row count by 12 sts.
Reversible: There is no “right side” or “wrong side” to this fabric.
