“Timeless”

This is a shawl shape that is timeless in its wearing, particularly if you choose to tie it at the back. The ties are optional, and the shawl can simply be worn wrapped and fastened with a broach or pin if you prefer.

I have taken the traditional Sontag style and added some short rows to the back to give it a fluid and feminine finish.
Its an aran pattern worked on large needles which provides extra drape to the finished shawl.

As with many of my designs, history has played its part in my inspiration and I have used beautiful ethically produced yarn to create it.

This has been given its gentle brown colouring by Loch Ness Knitting in Scotland, where she takes materials from the local woodland and café to create her dyes from the sustainable natural waste found there.
I am delighted to bring you this design with Scotland both in its spiritual being from my head and the yarn that’s actually been produced there.
