Tine Blouse is an oversized blouse with short sleeves and an intriguing vertical drop-stitch lace pattern.

It is knitted in Handdyed Silk Alpaca de Luxe, a wonderfully soft and luxurious yarn.

The blouse is knitted from the top down. The upper back is knitted first, using short rows to shape the shoulders. The front piece are then worked, also with short rows and increases to shape the neckline. The body is then joined and knitted in the round, ending with a stockinette hem. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are worked in the round with increases along the underside. Finally, a stockinette neckline is worked.

Tine Blouse features a vertical lace pattern created using so-called drop stitches. A drop stitch is formed by making a yarn over, which is then simply knitted as a regular stitch for the next few rows. After that, you let the drop stitch (the stitch above the yarn over) slip off the needle, allowing it to unravel down to the yarn over.
