The Soft Chenille “Train Tracks” Textured Blanket design is a mixed pattern of twist/garter stitch and criss-cross stitch stripes with a border of twisted knit/purl stitches. This pattern was revised in January 2022 with an easier stitch technique.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 6 balls of Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn (6.4 oz/180g (Image shown is the colour ‘Burgundy’).

SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 46” by 46” (117 cm by 117 cm).

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand is different.

Alize Puffy yarn yarn will yield a blanket of the same size, but you will need more skeins. Lion Brand Off-The-Hook and Red Heart Loop-It yarns can all be used with this pattern, but will yield a blanket with smaller overall dimensions. You will also need more balls/skeins to complete the pattern as is (approximately 2-4, depending on the yarn used).
