In thinking about the history of this beautiful fiber and the journey it has made to my hands, I was reminded of a similar journey relatives of mine took so long ago, resulting in my hands being in this place. These Transatlantic designs are my way of honoring that journey.

This pattern is suitable for the knitter with experience reading a chart and stranded colorwork.

Finished mitten measures 7.5’’ circumference and 10’’ from edge to tip.

I used Blacker Yarns Gotland DK (100% Gotland Wool) (100g/240m) 1 100g skein each of Mist, Downpour and Shower.

This yarn is just enough to make the matching Transatlantic Tam and Cowl. If you plan to make all three items and make any alterations in size or gauge you will want an extra skein of Mist.
