This is part of a series of three patterns designed for absolute shawl beginners: the Stringray Neckerchief, the Crescent Neckerchief, and the Triangle Shawlette. It gives you a sense of how shawls are shaped by using a smaller format (neckerchiefs and a shawlette), simple increases, and very simple garter stitch throughout. Watch how differently shaped your piece becomes just by changing the number and placement of your increases! You can make both the Crescent and Stingray neckerchiefs, or the Triangle Shawlette, with one skein of Old Rusted Chair Single.
