Trillium is a beautifully simple but stylish baby blanket suitable for the beginning knitter with a little experience or the more advanced knitter looking for some easy, relaxing knitting.

The pattern gives instructions for the blanket to be knitted either in a DK or a 4ply weight yarn.
Both yarn choices give a blanket that is approximately 66 x 76 cm / 26 x 30 inches in size.

Instructions are given in the pattern for re-sizing the blanket to suit your needs.

The simple central eyelet pattern forms little trillium, or three petal, flowers in an all over design. The blanket is edged in garter stitch for a sturdy non-curling edge which is knitted along with the central pattern. There is no picking up of stitches afterwards to knit the edging.

In a 4ply yarn, Trillium makes a lightweight blanket for folding over little legs or wrapping around baby. Knitted in a heavier DK weight yarn, it is a more substantial blanket for the colder months.

The stitch pattern is charted as well as written so it can be worked from whichever you prefer.

Any soft DK or 4ply weight yarn is suitable. You will need approx. 850 meters of DK weight or 1092 meters of 4ply yarn. If you change the size of the blanket you will need more or less than this.
