Intermediate skill level. Described in 6 sizes from baby, toddler, child through to large adult.

This beanie is worked from crown to brim, using Tunisian crochet in the round with a double ended hook and at least two balls of yarn.

A knowledge of Tunisian crochet or Tunisian crochet in the round is necessary. Although, I have included a brief description, with photos, of how to work Tunisian crochet in the round for this pattern.

You will need a 5.00mm double ended hook and two or three colours of double knitting weight yarn. (The photos illustrate the pattern made using Stylecraft Special double knitting yarn, 100% acrylic, approximately 295m/322yds, 100g).

The first round is made by working regular double crochet (US single crochet) stitches into a magic ring, finishing with a slip stitch to join. The second round onwards uses Tunisian crochet stitches. As the beanie is worked in continuous rounds, you will need to work each round in sections of a few stitches at a time. Stitch markers might be helpful.
