The blanket is made using Tunisian Knit Stitch, with a Tunisian Purl Border. It is a graph of the Solar System and includes all the 8 main planets; Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune as well as Earth’s Moon, the Asteroid and Kuiper Belts and the 5 Dwarf Planets, Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, MakeMake and Eris.

There are two downloadable files, the first contains the document with all the information on materials, helpful notes and the written instructions. The second file is the graph which, due to the details and size, is spread over several pages which can be printed and joined together to make working on this blanket a little easier.

My finished blanket measures 150cm wide and 130cm tall and I decided to attach a fabric backing to it. I have not included specific instructions on how to do this in the notes, but there is a basic method written.
