Explore some simple Tunisian stitches to create a beautiful, functional blanket. The blanket is ideal for snuggling under as the evenings become colder. It has both weight and texture. I wanted to design something that was relatively straight forward, so that I could enjoy the rhythm of the stitches without constantly referring to the pattern, but that included an interesting range of Tunisian stitches. The blanket is based on a grid pattern, worked in one piece. Each large square is made using Arrowhead stitch and Bobbles on a Tunisian Simple stitch ground. The Honeycomb stitch border allows the blanket to drape without curling at the edges. I used 9 balls of KIng Cole Fashion Aran in Stone. The size can be easily changed - make more repeats, or add additional rows of honeycomb at the top/bottom edges (but you would need more yarn).
