The Finnish word Tuntu describes the feeling a texture gives you in your fingertips. Enjoy this comfort when you snuggle up in the Tuntu sweater and caress its soft surface. Feel the fine details of the cables and the slipped stitch chains on the hems and yoke. Appreciate the pleasant volume of the double stockinette bands that accentuate the transition to the plain main section. The design by Teti Lutsak offers many interesting but not too difficult details, and is cosy and smooth with its fitted shape. You can style it in many different ways: elegant with a blouse or rather casual with jeans. The Melange colour Terra of our Cheeky Merino Joy even enhances the expressiveness of the texture with its light-and-dark contrasts.

Knitting seamlessly bottom-up in the round, you start Tuntu right away with the interesting textured pattern of the hem that gives the sweater a slight A-line, and work straight up to the underarm. Then, the sleeves are knitted separately and joined with the body. The yoke is shaped with a number of wrap & turn short rows. You then knit the textured pattern of twisted stitch cables and slipped stitch until the neckline ribbing. The transitions from hem to body, as well as from yoke to neckline are worked with double knitting, and give the sweater a very sophisticated finish.
