This shawl is knit from the top center down following the turtle’s tracks through the textured body to the wavy edging. The center panel pattern is charted only.

Finished Size: approximately 76” wide x 20” deep (193 x 50 cm) after blocking.

Materials:
• Light fingering weight yarn, such as Unplanned Peacock Studio’s Peacock Sock, approx. 860 yds, 786 m
• US Size 5 (3.75 mm) 40” (101 cm) or longer circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers (several removable markers will be necessary)
• Tapestry needle

Gauge: 23 sts = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette st before blocking, 18 sts = 4” (10 cm) after strong blocking (The fabric needs to have plenty of stretch to block out the body pattern in the end.)
