Uprising is raglan sweater with a dramatic twisted rib detail on the side. It is knitted from the top down, and is totally seamless.
A triangular twisted rib pattern begins under the right arm and continues down the length of the side, creating waist shaping as well as an eye-catching architectural detail. An option is given for the twisted rib pattern to be worked on both sides if desired.

Sometimes a little uprising is exactly what we all need.

Construction
After casting on, raglan increases are worked flat in order to shape the neckline. Once the neck shaping is complete additional stitches are cast on in the front and the sweater is joined for working in the round.

When the sleeve stitches have been set aside, the twisted rib pattern begins and continue until the bottom ribbing.

Finally, ¾ length sleeves are knit in the round from the underarm to the cuff.
