The Vail Baby Blanket was designed for a baby to snuggle in a crib, stroller or car seat. I designed it to be warm enough on chilly days, but still light enough for warmer days. The crochet edge is optional as the blanket is simple and beautiful with or without it.

I used DK weight Superwash wool because it is washable, warm and very soft, although any DK or worsted weight yarn will work. The blanket shown was made with size 6 (4.00 mm) needles.

This is a very easy blanket to knit. You must know how to knit and purl.

Optional crochet edge - stitches: chain, single crochet
