This set offers a variety of stitches to knit, as well as being worked with variegated yarn for a pretty effect! Make the hat and cowl in only a day or two with worsted weight yarn. You will not be bored as you quickly knit this cozy set. You will be using the brioche stitch, and a mini broomstick lace stitch for the cowl with ribbing for the hat.

The directions are only in written form. Both the hat and cowl are seamed. They both are quite stretchy so they have plenty of room for different sized heads. The cowl is snug fitting, but can easily be adapted to make a loose fitting neck warmer.

Hat measurements are: 17” (43cm) around by 8.5” (20cm) high.

Cowl measurements are: 18” (45cm) around by 8” (22cm) high.

Yarn: 244 yards (223m) variegated worsted weight. Samples were made using 1 skein Red Heart Super yarn in color—Rambling Rose (discontinued color—many other variegated colors are available as a substitute); 100% acrylic; 5oz (141gm), 244yds (223m) per skein.

Needles and notions: size US 8 (5.0mm) needles for hat (circular needles if preferred); size US 9 (5.5mm) straight needles for cowl. Yarn needle to sew seams and loose ends.
