Description of the Vertical Vibe Top
The Vertical Vibe Top is worked top-down in 2x2 rib and stockinette stitch with saddle shoulders. The top features a folded neckline in double ribbing. After shaping the neckline, the work is divided into shoulders, front, and back pieces. The double ribbing continues along the shoulders and down the chest. Short rows are worked to shape the back of the neck and ensure a good fit. Once the shoulders and short rows are completed, the work is divided for the armholes, and the body and armholes are finished separately. The body is first worked separately as front and back pieces. After the armholes, the body is joined again and worked in the round. Stitches are picked up around the armholes, which are worked in double rib and folded over. The body is also finished with double ribbing.

Choosing the Right Size
The Vertical Vibe Top is designed with a suggested ease of -3 to +7 cm (negative to slight positive ease). You should therefore measure your bust and choose the size according to your actual bust measurement – i.e., select the size in which your measurement falls.

Yarn Requirements – 1 strand held throughout:
1 strand of Önling No 14 – 100% Tencel Lyocell, 50g = 114 m, from Önling in grams: 250 / 300 / 300 / 350 / 350 / 400 / 450 / 500 / 550
Or:
1 strand of Norma – 55% organic cotton, 35% modal, 10% viscose, 50g = 135 m, from Lang Yarns in grams: 200 / 200 / 250 / 250 / 300 / 350 / 400 / 450 / 500

Needles:
• Circular needle 3.5 mm (40 cm and 80 cm)
• Circular needle 4 mm (40 cm and 80 cm)
• Double-pointed needles (DPNs) 3.5 mm, if you prefer not to use the magic loop technique for the neckline
• Stitch markers: 6 pcs

Gauge (AFTER WASHING): 10 cm x 10 cm = 23 sts x 28 rows on 4 mm needles, using your chosen yarn, in both rib and stockinette stitch.

NOTE: The Vertical Vibe Top is worked in a combination of double rib and stockinette stitch, which do not have the same gauge before washing. After washing and drying the top, you may choose to block the rib panels to match the gauge of the stockinette sections. However, there will still be a visible difference between the wide rib panels on the front and the stockinette sections. I personally chose not to block the top.

Önling No 14 tends to contract during washing and stretch significantly during wear. If you wish to minimize this effect, you may prefer to knit the entire top using 3.5 mm needles.
