Both vests start the same way--with a provisional cast on for the upper part of vest. Then decreases are knit at the four corners for multiple ridges and then bound off for the neck. The pullover vest can be constructed either in the round or front and back are knitted separately and seamed. The cardigan can also be knitted down in one piece or in three pieced and seamed.
You can let your imagination run wild with different colors and/or inserted designs for little girls and boys. The fronts and/or backs present a canvas for intarsia, stranded designs and duplicate stitch.(The “T” was applied as duplicate stitch on the orange pullover.)
There are no buttonholes on the cardigan vest. Closure is accomplished with snaps; buttons are sewn on for decoration.
As pictured (both examples are size 2), the pullover required 4 skeins of Dolly Mix main color and 1 skein of contrast color; the cardigan required 2 skeins of Ewe So Sporty main color and 1 skein of contrast color.
There appears to be a discrepancy in the sizing of the smaller needle. The 3.00mm needle I have is designated a US size 3 needle. So if in doubt, use the metric sizing.
