This is a fun, classic Christmas stocking. In the natural wool, you have a tone-on-tone textured stitch pattern that is fun to knit and looks very elegant … very Victorian Christmas!

Any heavy worsted-weight wool or wool blend could be used for this stocking … which you can make longer by increasing the number of “leg lace” repeats. Done in a lighter weight wool, you would have a more sophisticated, grown-up version for decorating.

The stocking is knit in the round from the toe … and the bits of lace and textrued stitches add to the fun-factor, making this a fairly quick stocking.
