This three part set is the perfect pattern for stash busting, creating sports themed accessories or just showing off your knitting skills!

You will need 125 - 150 yards of two colors of DK weight yarn for each of these projects. Have fun experimenting with multi color skeins with lots of movement paired with tonals, or working with solids for an edgy and crisp look.

The stranded colorwork is easily memorized making the patterns reasonable for colorwork beginners and experienced knitters as well.

The village square is an open space, usually in the center of town where meetings, commerce, and events take place for the common enjoyment of the community. The whole purpose is to bring folks out of their homes and help create common bonds between neighbors. The idea of community is so important to knitters; from local Yarn Shops to Dyers, Producers, and Manufacturers, we are all linked by yarn.
The village square patterns are inspired by traditional weaving patterns, turned 45 degrees for a more modern look. The simple square motif is accented by a dot, or heart in the center for the square.
