The Vintage Damask Pullover was inspired by the patterns on vintage carpet bags. The design is worked with stranded color work with the front and back being knit flat separately, from the bottom up, and seamed together at the shoulders and sides. The sleeves are picked up and worked outward from the body in the round. Knit up in Spincycle Dyed in the Wool yarn, it is a fun yarn which naturally stripes and has the feel of a hand spun yarn. As you knit your way up the sweater with the main and contrast colors, watch the yarns change, creating a rich tapestry of tones and contrasts and a beautiful overall effect!
