THE STORY

Playing off the stitch pattern in the Vintage Silver Shrug, these socks are cuff-less (unless you want a proper ribbed cuff) and easy to memorize! The stitch pattern carries into the heel for an all-over motif!

MATERIALS

  • House of A La Mode Fiber Goods House Fingering (fingering weight; 80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon; 400 yds / 365 m per 3.5 oz / 100g), 1 skein: ‘Oyster’
  • US 1.5 (2.5 mm) 32” / 81 cm circular needle
  • Fixed stitch markers (2); clip stitch marker (1)
  • Row counter (optional)
  • Tapestry needle

NOTES

  • These socks are designed for the Magic Loop method, are worked from the cuff-down and feature a Gusset Heel with the stitch pattern carried down the Heel Flap. These socks are identical to one another. Make 2 socks the same to complete a pair.
  • Adjust needle size as necessary to match gauge.
  • Instructions are given for smallest size with additional sizes in parentheses. When only one set of instructions is given, it applies to all sizes.
  • In the case of using DPNs, the Front Needle is synonymous with Needles 1 & 2 and the Back Needle is synonymous with Needles 3 & 4.
