Ever have too much of that precious yarn that you don’t want to waste but aren’t sure what to do with it? That is how Wall Street Ear Warmer was born. I had cashmere leftover from Wall Street Hat that I simply could not let go to waste. Using the same feminine lace detail and stockinette stitch as its sister hat, this ear warmer uses very little yarn and will be finished in just a few hours, making it perfect for last minute gifts. The ear warmer is knit with a worsted weight yarn and joined with three needle bind-off, making it a quick and satisfying knit that is both warm and stylish.

Technique: The ear warmer is cast on provisionally, knit flat, and joined with three needle bind-off; however, for those Kitchener lovers out there, it could easily be grafted.

Instructions are written and charted.

Like the hat, the ear warmer is loose fitting and fits 21-24 inch (53-61 cm) head circumferences. If you would like it more snug, I would recommend going down a needle size. My head is 21.5” (55 cm) for reference.

The sample used approximately 60 yards of Cachet by The Plucky Knitter. It is a worsted weight cashmere yarn (heaven!). The colorway used is Empire which was specially dyed for a trunk show The Plucky Knitter held at Annie & Company Needlepoint and Knitting in the Upper East Side in NYC. They have many other grey options though.

The pattern has been test knit. Thank you!!!
