Waller Hat
When designing the Waller Hat, I drew inspiration from the robust texture of the dry stone walls that crisscross the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales. The landscape boasts an impressive tapestry of over 5000 miles of these enduring structures. Originally built to safeguard the sheep grazing the moors, they have a profound link to the craft of knitting.
The hat is knit in the round from brim to crown, and is a great beginner friendly pattern. Techniques used include knitting in the round, simple knit and purl stitches, slipped stitches and knit decreases. The pattern includes written and chart instructions.
