This is a pattern for a lace wrap that is still fairly warm. It is made using a single stitch that has lots of texture that allows the shawl to maintain its warmth even when blocked. It is finished with two pockets, and an optional crocheted edging. The final size is 24 inches X 84 inches. There are instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged. There are also instructions for pocket placement.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Handmaiden’s Camelspin, (which is one of the most luxurious yarns on the market) in colorway, Stardust. It is carried doubled on a size #7 needle. Most light weight worsted yarns could be substituted. (The yardage called for in the initial description is for using another yarn carried singly. If you use Camelspin, as pictured, you’ll need double that amount.)
