In the middle of a cold and blustery winter day, these gloves will keep your hands warm and your mind on thoughts of summer picnics and juicy fruits for desert.

The fingerless feature of these gloves gives you the freedom to text, dial and write. The size of the gloves are for the average women hand sizes and does work for teens.

The cuff is created from a double hem stockinette stitch to provide extra warmth around the wrists. The body of the glove is in a basic stockinette stitch which is a basic stitch for any knitter.

Pattern includes a color chart for the stranded knitting portion of the gloves. Choose any yarn you enjoy working with as long as it is a size 3, light DK weight, merino yarn or any type you prefer. When it comes to knitting gloves on needles, I prefer using circular needles so the rhythm of knitting isn’t interrupted. If something like this doesn’t trouble you, the double pointed needles (set of 5) is what you can purchase.

Stitch markers will be needed while working in rounds. A stitch holder is needed while shaping the thumb. If you do not have a stitch holder for the thumb stitches, you may load your thumb stitches on waste yarn of an opposite color.

We do have kits which include the pattern, yarn and stitch markers for sale on Ebay for easy shopping. Just visit our blog @ http://purlsandshells.typepad.com/my-blog for links to our Ebay shop.

Thanks for visiting and happy stitching!!
