This women’s short sleeve summer cardigan is one size, worked in one piece from the bottom up then divided at the underarms for the fronts and back. The short sleeves are worked straight onto the armholes in the round which means they can be shortened or made longer if required. The only seams to be joined are at the shoulders. There is a wavy filet crochet trim added to the hem at the end and the sleeves have a different wave edging. There are 4 buttons down the front. The main stitch used is treble (U.K) - in USA it is double crochet. This free pattern is available in both UK & USA terms, abbreviations & stitches.

Actual measurements of cardigan: 47” / 119.5 cm around chest. Underarm length of sleeve 6.5”/ 16.5 cm. Length of garment from shoulder seam to hem 27”/ 69 cm.

I used Sirdar Calico DK yarn which is 60% cotton to make the cardigan, but unfortunately the yarn is no longer available
