Many of you are tending your gardens this time of year, but when it gets dark, this is the perfect project for summer knitting. Take 2 bright colors of Silky Twist yarn and make a beautiful shawl that is super-versatile, easy for adventurous beginners, and fun to knit because it is so pretty from the very first row with the undulating waves of the Feather and Fan pattern. Then the slip stitch ending makes sure it never curls.

Join me in this knitalong starting June 1. It is completely free to join for everyone who uses Artyarns Silky Twist yarn.

  1. Post a photo of your yarn colors (2 sks required, ideally one solid one multi… I am using 1047 multi and N30B solid)
  2. On or about June 1 check your Ravelry messages for a message from me with a link to part 1 of the pattern.
  3. Post a photo of your completed part 1 no later than September 1. When i see it, i’ll send you a new message with Part 2 of the pattern.
  4. Once you have completed part 1 and have part 2 on your needles, there is no deadline to finish the knitalong.

It’s so much fun to knit together and this lovely yarn is so bright and squishy, you’ll adore every stitch. Questions? Please post them here:
