I wanted to design a super easy sweater pattern for beginning knitters or a first-time sweater project. The front, back and sleeves are knit in garter stitch, so there is no purling involved! The boxy oversized fit, boat style neckline and drop shoulder require no difficult shaping or seaming. The long balloon sleeves require only a small amount of tapering and a ribbed cuff at the end.
This sweater is knit with a generous amount of ease, making it a perfect weekend lounge top. It would also be a cute oversize knit worn casually with leggings or jeans. Choose a size that is 10-12”/25-30cm larger than your chest measurement. Model shown is wearing 46”/117cm on 34”/86cm chest circumference.
