Notions: 10 safety pins, locking stitch markers or scrap yarn, tapestry needle.

Notes: Wefan is worked in one piece from side to side, with a woven crochet pattern in three yarns. One shoulder is worked first, then the body is divided to work the centre front and back before rejoining to work the second shoulder. Short sleeves are worked on each side, then the sides and sleeves are seamed. A simple border is added to the hem and neckline for stability and neatness. Sizes 1 and 2 have a neckline that is lowered at the back and front; sizes 3-10 have a neckline which is lowered in the front only.
Turning ch counts as a stitch except on rows of sc.
