Super bulky yarn makes such a statement in a knitted hat. It looks really trendy and is very warm. I would recommend using a single color or subtly variegated yarn for this pattern. Top with a pompom or faux fur pompom for a special finish. This hat knits up easily in a night or two, which also makes it perfect for last minute gifts!

Sizes: Toddler (Child, Average Adult, Large Adult) to fit a head circumference of 16” (18”, 21”, 23”)/40 (45, 53, 58) cm.

Yarn: 80 (90, 100, 110) yards/75 (85, 90, 100) meters of super bulky weight yarn.

Needles: Size US 15/10 mm and US 17/12 mm long circular needle (40”/100 cm cable or longer for Magic Loop method-- recommended) or double-point needles (if preferred for working in the round) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, large party balloon, spray bottle, and 3”/7.5 cm pom-pom maker or faux fur pompom (optional; search eBay for “faux fur pompom,” they’re very inexpensive when purchased online!).
