The perfect pattern to learn cabling, or practice cabling without a cable needle! The Wheat Field Socks feature a beautiful cabled detailing that looks like (you got it) a stalk of wheat. Delicate wrapped stitches complete the effect.

YARN
Autumn and Indigo - Classic Sock in “Rosewood”

NEEDLES
2.25mm (US 1), 100cm (40”) circular needles, or needles needed to obtain gauge

GAUGE
8-9 stitches per 1” in stockinette stitch

SIZES
Included in this pattern are three sizes; sizes are based off of foot circumference, not finished length!
Small (Medium, Large) to fit a foot approximately 8-9” (9-10”, 10-11”) or 20-22.5 (22.5-25, 25-27.5)cm in diameter.

OTHER NOTES
Pattern is written for the magic loop method. If you would like to knit with DPNs you can instead work instructions for first needle across 1st and 2nd DPNs and work the instructions for the second needle across 3rd and 4th DPNs.

Pattern includes a heel flap and gusset. If you prefer you may substitute any heel pattern you like.
