Whispering Fields is the third design of my Ffrench Collection: a series of designs inspired by the music of Alexis Ffrench.
Whispering Fields features horizontal bands of colourwork throughout the garment, with shapes and patterns inspired by fields of wheat moving in a summer breeze.

SAMPLE
The wearer is 5’10” / 178cm with a 37” / 92.5cm chest circumference. The sample has been worked in size L, giving the wearer 10.5” / 26cm of positive ease at the chest. The yoke and body have been worked to pattern and the longer length sleeve option has been worked.

SIZING GUIDE
This garment is graded into sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). Recommended positive ease is 4-12” / 10-30cm at the chest circumference.
Finished Garment Chest Circumference: 34.5 (38.75, 43, 47.5, 51.75) (56, 60.25, 64.5, 69)“ / 86 (97, 107.5, 118.5, 129) (140, 151, 161.5, 172.5) cm.

GAUGE
Using 3.25mm / US size 3 needles, or needle size required to meet gauge, 26 stitches over 32 rounds in stockinette stitch, blocked, creates a 4x4”/10x10cm square.
Neckband, waistband and cuff circumferences assume you are working 7 sts per 1” / 2.5cm.

YARN
The sample has been worked using Along Avec Anna’s Fingering Weight Superwash Merino base (100% Superwash Merino; 200m / 219yds per 50g) in colourways Trésor as the main colour and Châtaigne as the contrast colour.

YARDAGE (includes ~10% excess)
Yardage assumes you are working the folded neckband and the longer length sleeve option.

Main Colour: 854 (957, 1016, 1113, 1167) (1237, 1334, 1456, 1493) metres / 934 (1047, 1112, 1218, 1277) (1353, 1459, 1593, 1634) yards / 213 (239, 254, 278, 292) (309, 333, 364, 373) grams.
