After many requests, I’ve come up with a fun and fresh slouchie hat companion pattern to the White Caps Fingerless Gloves.

The pattern features a folded ribbed cuff, some simple cables, and a little bit of lace thrown in to keep you on your toes. The White Caps Slouchie stitch pattern morphs smoothly and beautifully into a tidy crown.

The pattern includes both written and charted instructions so you can choose your favorite way to knit the hat! It also includes a helpful note on blocking slouchie tams.

The pattern calls for DK weight yarn but also works well with worsted weight yarn, especially Patons Classic Wool. Hats knit with Patons Classic Wool will give you are sturdier, less drapey hat.
