The White Heather Shawl is an Advanced Beginner pattern and centres around the double crochet stitch and its variations, such as the crossed double crochet stitch and front post double crochet (stitches are explained in the pattern).

It is worked from the centre-neckline down and it has a 6-row repeat pattern once the foundation rows have been crocheted. It is customisable in size by working more or less repeats. It is finished off with a simple slip stitch border.

Fingering weight yarn is recommended; I used 775m/848yds of Scheepjes Catona and a 3.5mm crochet hook. You can colour block your shawl (the pattern indicates when to change colour) or a gradient yarn can be used, which is equally beautiful.

Finished measurements (using recommended yarn): Wingspan 126cm/50” / Depth 70cm/28”

Blocking is recommended to open up the stitch work and for a beautiful soft drape.
