Willowisp is a full-size, crescent-shaped lace shawl made of 800 yards of fingering weight yarn, although other lightweight yarns would also work. The lace in the body of the shawl is an all-over, simple-to- follow pattern. It is knit from the top down beginning with only 9 stitches and a span of textural purl and knit pattern, followed with an all-over lace pattern, and finishing with a Willow Leaf Edging that is knit at the same time as the bind off is done. Once blocked, the shawlette is over 7 feet in length, and is 26 inches at its deepest center point. Full written instructions, row counts, chart for the body of the shawl, and video help links are included in the pattern.
