Winds of Change is part of the New Horizons Collection. The collection is great value for money compared with buying the individual patterns.

In a complicated world Winds of Change is a celebration of yarn, texture and choices, and a breath of fresh air!

This top down, crescent shaped shawl worked in two different yarns – a fingering weight yarn and a kidsilk/fuzzy laceweight yarn. The yarns are worked separately on the main body in stripes to create a light and airy body to the shawl. This is contrasted by a cabled band to showcase the fingering weight yarn and the grand finale is the choice of either a simple or a pointed border using yarns A and B together.

Size Options : As written; Main Body(x4), Cable Band, Pointed Border – 83 ins (210 cm) wide and 25.75 ins (65.5 cm) with a Main Body gauge of 20 stitches to 4 inches before blocking and a gauge of 18 stitches to 4 inches after blocking using 3.75mm (US5) needles. Each repeat of the main body chart will make a difference of approximately 10 ins (25 cm) in width and 3.25 ins (8 cm) in depth.

Light as a breeze, Winds of Change is a pattern that allows you to change it up and knit it differently to suit your mood. Knit it huge with extra repeats of the main body to wrap yourself in a cloud of love. Knit is as written for a light and airy shawl/scarf or reduce the number of body repeats and create a lovely little shoulder cover for those cool evenings or air-conditioned rooms. Yardage requirements will increase/decrease according when deviating from the number of main body repeats written in the pattern.

The pattern includes a chart giving alternative yarn suggestions so you can customise your shawl to suit your needs.

Winds of Change has full written instructions and is charted.
