Ever since I learned to make the shell stitch I have been In LOVE. I have a clear memory of the very first time I learned the shell stitch, sitting on the tiny balcony of our previous appartmemt in the summer sun, listening to great music with birds flying by, feeling high. Ok, yes I’m getting carried away here, but it was at one of those periods in life when happy moments are rare and so, certain moments stand out from this period. I was making a bag and it turned out so beautiful and I couldn’t believe that I was able to make this with my own two hands!

In these winter months I felt like revisiting that summer moment and it ended up being the winter shell dress <3

Depending on the kind of fiber you choose, this dress can be made to wear through all of the seasons. It could also be made to wear as a top/tunic

This is a great dress for several kinds of occasions and it has beautiful detail. If you like working with the shell stitch you’ll love making this dress :)
