Get into the spirit of the season with a toque style hat that incorporates unique striped and textured colour work. This hat pattern can also be a great project to use your favourite team colours with.

Five sizes are included with the pattern: Preschooler (3-5yrs), Child (6-10yrs), Teen/Small Adult, Average Adult, Large Adult (suitable for men)

This hat is made with 3 colours using worsted weight yarn (Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice has been used in the design of the patterns) and an H (5.00mm) hook.

The hat is worked bottom up (making the band first and then working your way up the hat) and requires a pom pom to finish the hat off - pom poms can be made with yarn or, faux fur pom poms can be used.

Basic stitches are used throughout the hat however; you need to be familiar with how to perform “3rd loop” stitches, decreasing stitches and cluster stitches. There are detailed instructions outlining how to perform the specific cluster stitches used for this pattern.
