Perfect for making several projects from just two skeins of yarn, or for using up odds and ends, this sweet little mug cozy is great for a gift; or to enjoy around your own mug with your favourite hot beverage! Worked in two colours in the round using stranded stocking stitch and corrugated ribbing, the steek stitches are then cut so that you can finish the mug with a wee buttonband. Directions are included for enlarging the project, or for working without cutting your knitting.

Finished Size of Cozy:
28 cm 11” circumference including buttonband; 7 cm 2 3/4” height.

Fits mug measuring 26 cm 10 1/4” circumference, with the height of the space within the handle measuring 4.5 cm 1 3/4”, but can also be adapted for a larger mug.

Yarn: Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Lascaux Fine 50’s (25% Manx Loaghtan/75% Punta Arenas Wool; 175 m 192 yd/ 50 g 1.75 oz skein: 1 skein each Milk Chocolate (MC) and Dune Grass (CC).

Project used approximately 8 grams of the MC yarn, and approximately 7 grams of the CC yarn.

Needles: 2.5 mm Size 1 1/2 US DPNs.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle, 15 mm 1/2” button, thread to match project.
