In the depths of the colder months winter promises to drag on forever. However, in the spirit of seeing the positive side of things, I am continuing my endeavours to embrace the seasons and see the positives in each one. Winter promises, and offers, many. Winter’s Promise is a season of log fires, hoar frosts, sparkling snow, hot soup, cosy blankets, snuggling up and knitting; lots and lots of lovely knitting!

Winter’s Promise is a shallow, triangular, shawl that will take us through the depths of the cold months. It will keep us cosy until the promise is fulfilled, hints of spring arrive, and we can lighten our yarn weights and plan for brighter days. In the meantime, warm your knees, get those huge needles out, get comfortable and make your very own super simple, super quick, Winter’s Promise; the promise is that you will love it!

You will find it useful to print your pattern on a colour printer, however, coloured pencils could be used to highlight aspects of the pattern.

The pattern is both fully written and charted throughout.

If you like my designs please join us in the Boo Group where you will find a place to discuss my patterns, show off your knitting and hear about KALs and MKALs.

Patterns already set up by KnitCompanion can be purchased, in the KnitCompanion Store, for knitters who like to use KnitCompanion, but prefer to have their charts already set up.
