Slouchy hats and pom-poms are the perfect combination!

Stitch up your very own slightly slouchy hat in a few hours and brave the winter weather with a smile.

This pattern uses a V-Puff Stitch in the round with minimal shaping at the crown.

Gauge is VERY important. Each pattern repeat should measure 1 1/16” wide, and 5 round repeats measure 3”.

NOTES to accommodate smaller gauges:
If you need additional width: chain additional stitches in groups of 3. IE: if 64 stitches doesn’t fit around your head, try 67 or 70.
If your length is LESS than 8” (and you are not making a size small) before starting the crown shaping: work additional rounds until piece measures 8”

Materials: 200-250 yards of Aran weight yarn and a J/6mm hook. 1 large faux fur pom-pom, yarn needle, and matching thread and sewing needle for attaching the pom-pom.

I used almost a full skein (200/202 yards) of Lion Brand Re-Tweed in Sleet for the sample.
