As it’s the centenary of WWI, I was looking for something my toddler can wear to village fetes and the like. I don’t want to spend a lot of time or money on something that will be dripped ice cream on, nor will he wear it much - a few hours over a couple of weekends - and Sailor Suits were very popular around 1914. There’s no way I’m faffing around making him a whole sailor suit, though, nor will he be getting one of the glorious ruffly, frilly frocks that are traditional wear for babies under 4; I’m just not that committed I’m afraid!

This pattern uses approximately 20g of the main colour and 10g of the contrast colour.
