Inspired by warm summer breezes, Zeffira is a versatile easy-to-knit lace top, constructed simply in two matching rectangular pieces and seamed for stability. It features pretty boat neck and relaxed fit flattering to many different figure types. Worked in a versatile light cotton yarn, this top is perfect for any season since it can be worn on its own, under a light cardigan, or layered over a tee.

Zeffira can be worn with whatever amount of ease you prefer; to choose the best size for you, measure your favorite garment that has a fit you love and work the size closest to that measurement.

Worked from the bottom up, the deep twisted rib section prevents rolling and accommodates the side vents. The rib then continues in narrow strips along the both sides of the body to edge the sleeve openings, and it finishes the neckline as well.

The interesting geometric lace looks more complicated than it really is – it is created with simple yarn overs and basic knit-two-together decreases, all of which makes this project suitable even for a novice lace knitter.

Please note that the Zeffira lace is presented in charts as
well as in complete row-by-row written directions.

Pattern update 10/15/2021 - this corrects the written directions only for Row 3 of Chart A - the ‘k2tog’ just before the pattern repeat should be ‘k1 tbl’ - the chart and everything else remains the same.
