Yarn: HiKoo Sueño Worsted (80% superwash merino, 20% bamboo, 100 g/ 182 yds). The capelet is knit side-to-side in wedges that are narrow at the neck and widen over the shoulders. One wedge uses about 25 g and provides 1” of collar and 2.6” of hem circumference. Use this information to decide how many wedges will fit you (a 20” neck, or 20 wedges/ 500 g of yarn, is about average).

Needles and gauge: A 40” (100 cm) circular needle, in any size that in garter stitch, gives you 20 sts and 40 rows = 4” (10 cm). Most people will need a needle between US size 5 and 7 (3.75 and 4.5 mm).

Sizes: From base of neck in back, 14” (38 cm) length, circumference depends on number of wedges.

Markers: Three—A, B, and C.
