Looking for a book lover gift idea or teacher gift? The ZigZag Bookmark crochet pattern is a great gift for any occasion!

This bookmark is worked in only 6 ‘long’ rows Written for 2 sizes (6” and 8” long) it is the perfect stash busting project.

Raid those scrap buckets and use up this 7-15 yards of #3 or #4 weight yarn in 2 or 3 colours you have been keeping hold of.

Because of the use of the TC2 and 3 together stitches this pattern is an intermediate pattern. Although confident beginners could give this one a go if confident reading written stitch instructions.   It would pair up beautifully with the Book Pillow which uses the same stitch combination in the pocket section.

You can read more about this bookmark crochet pattern and check out the free version on my blog.

At Sunflower Cottage Crochet, I hire experienced crochet artisans to test our patterns for accuracy and readability.

❤ LAYOUT of the bookmark crochet pattern:

My patterns all share the same layout. They are easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them.     The pattern also includes figure photos on how to create a simple tassel.

❤ SIZE:

This bookmark crochet pattern is easily be adjusted to create any size of project you would like. My bookmarks were 6” and 8” long by 1.5” wide using 3 weight cotton and 4 mm hook. Using 4 weight yarn and 4.5mm hook increased my bookmarks to about 8” and 10” long and 2” wide.  The stitch multiple is included to help you adjust the size to suit your requirements.

❤ MATERIALS:

If using 3 weight DK Yarn: Approx 15 yds in colours A and C, 5 yards in contrasting colour B.  4mm hook  Stitch markers (optional)  Scissors  Tapestry needle
