A slightly asymmetrical triangular shawl that is worked in three sections: first you knit the main section - a big triangular with stripes; then the left side mesh border is knitted on from the picked up along the shawls side stitches; and finally, the finishing touch is done by knitting on a narrow eyelet trim along the bottom of the both right side and left side wings of the shawl.
The shawl is knit sideways and shaped with simultaneous increases/decreases at both sides of the knitted fabric gradually reducing the number of stitches to form a triangular shape. The colour change, hence the width of the stripes, is based on Fibonacci sequence numbers.
