Notes

This is a chance for me to use Harvested Hues yarn! Hooray. I have been so excited to try the yarn I’ve dyed.

Casting on without a gauge swatch. How much will I regret this later?

I’m itching to get onto the colorwork yoke, so I’m going to do a provisional cast on and do the ribbed collar at the end.

2020-05-15

Cast on 102 (for size B) in Avocado (mordanted angel hair merino wool) using a provisional cast on. Continue in pattern.

2020-05-16

For the colorwork chart, switch to size 6 needle.

First contrast color is the sourgrass (mordanted nonSW 80/20 merino/nylon)

2020-05-18

Added both shades of onion (darker, variegated is the SW; lighter one is the nonSW).

Then the dark grey.

Then start with eucalyptus.

2020-05-22

After completion of colorwork. Switched to size 5 needle and did 4 rows in MC, even.

2020-05-22

Then split for sleeves.

2021-08-27

Won the Blue Ribbon for Adult Sweater, Color, Limited Use in the MN State Fair 2021.
