• row guage does not match the designer’s so I will be knitting according to the measurements in the schematic and not the number of pattern repeats given in the instructions.
• stitch guage is almost correct (off by 1 stitch) using a 4,5 mm needle. The pattern suggesta a 5 mm needle, but with that my stitch guage was only 18 and with a 4 mm needle my stitch guage was 23. Using a 4,5 mm needle I’m about at 20,5 stitches. To compensate a bit for the difference I’m knitting a size smaller than I would normally choose and it’s giving me the fit I’m looking for.
