More episodes from my Kaffe Fasset infatuation. In each project I tore out the test patch and measured the yarns required for each section. Then I could accurately cut numerous strands for each section. Before knitting I graded the yarn as light, medium or dark and put each category into a separate bag. When I needed the next dark, I would just grab from the dark bag. Occasionally I did cheat and pick a second or third time, but this process allowed me to be more adventurous with colour.

The blocks in my sister’s sweater are larger than in mine. Hers are as specified. I made my blocks smaller.

I especially like my nephew on my shoulders wearing overalls that my Mom made from discarded men’s outdoor shirts.

The second last pic is a pillow with sort of blocks I never saw a pattern for. I knit it from a Kaffe calendar someone gave me. The last pic is our finely feathered nest while camping featuring hand made pillows and crocheted afghan, and there is a duvet that cannot be seen.

I am saying 1989 because this programme doesn’t like a casual ‘late 1980’s“
