Notes

I thought I’d make a rainbow version of my pattern and alternate between rows of colour with white. I’m adapting the pattern slightly as I go and will leave out all the long front post stitches - I don’t think they’ll work with the white stripes.

The fully written version of the design, The Allsorts Blanket, is now available to buy here - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-allsorts-bla...

Materials

This is one of the thickest DK I’ve ever used - almost an aran. I went up to a 5 mm hook when I normally use 4.5 mm. There is only 250m per ball, rather than the usual 280m for an acrylic yarn.

The centre panel, including the white and red inner border rows, measures approx 27”.
With the main border added, it measures 35”.

White 200 gm 500m
Red 33 gm 83m
Orange 34 gm 85m
Yellow 37 gm 93m
Green 39 gm 98m
Blue 39 gm 98m
Pink 42 gm 105m

(I used a full ball of white each, for both the centre panel and the border.)

Obviously, the amount used in each colour is completely dependant on exactly which stitch pattern is worked in which colour, as some patterns use more yarn than others.
